I am aware that there are many places where you can discuss resources with each other, but I just wanted to create a place where this can be discussed on a larger scale, and you can, (in theory, depends on how enthusiastic people are towards this) gather ideas from people you may not necessarily be in touch with all the time. This can be discussed in the comments section. The post mainly focuses on textbooks that cover disciplines such as Anatomy and Histology. For textbooks focusing on systems, I may make them available in the comments section below. These will all be provided through links from my One Drive.
Links
Clinical Medicine (does not fall under the category of a discipline like the ones below, but still useful - can provide information about things such as investigations to perform in a clinical setting, and management options):
Biochemistry:
Anatomy:
Embryology:
Histology:
Pathology:
Physiology:
Microbiology and Immunology:
Radiology:
Epidemiology:
Pharmacology:
OSCEs:
Geeky Medics - They have several articles detailing how to perform examinations, and also have several MCQs and flashcards for you to test your knowledge.
Exam-style questions:
Reviewing material quickly:
USMLE First Aid Step 1 2020 - This book is very popular with students here in Buckingham, even though it was written primarily with USMLE students in mind. This is due to its ability to succinctly summarise large amounts of material, which can be used to review the material quickly as you draw near the exam..
Other USMLE material:
These are links to textbooks for USMLE Steps 2 and 3. I have posted them here so that they can be used by students who wish to sit the USMLE exam in the US, but note that some of the treatments suggested or other material may not match the UK curriculum, and it would be more useful to have something like Kumar and Clark's Clinical Medicine, and Oxford Handbook of Clinical Medicine, for the exams here.
ECGs:
Speciality textbooks - here is a folder where you can access textbooks pertaining to several different specialities such as neurology, gastroenterology, etc. This may be useful to you for Narrative Medicine Case Analysis where you have to discuss the pathophysiology of a condition. One particular recommended textbook is Harrison's Principles of Internal Medicine, as it contains information across a wide variety of different specialities. A PDF copy of it can be found when you scroll down in this folder.
